Loon Lake, WA – Our recent services at Lakeside Church were well received. John David Hicks’ teaching on “The Overcoming Life” got us back to basics and spoke to many new to the faith. All services were well attended, and several people prayed for and received healing each night. God is faithful, and we praise Him for the work He has begun in our church. --Ken Rozelle, Senior Pastor

Hermiston, OR – Last week’s meetings were some of the best I can remember, and perhaps the best this church has ever experienced with the highest attendance anyone can remember—all evidence of the fact that the Lord was here, that He met needs, and that He used John David Hicks in a mighty way to bless His people.

Approximately 10 people accepted the Lord, another 5 or 6 claimed sanctification, and at least 75 were anointed and prayed for healing. I’m hearing comments like: “He made the gospel so easy to understand”; “He described sanctification in a way that was so clear to me”; “I have never seen anyone pray for the sick like John did.”

John, your clear teaching from the Word coupled with your ability to take the authority God has given you and added to your clear love for people makes for a winning atmosphere.

This last Sunday morning we had a lengthy testimony time. People testified to being freed from fear, from spirits of depression, and from a controlling spirit. Then we had another anointing and healing service with multiple people coming forward for prayer. This is a new day in our church!

Thank you for your sensitive spirit and for your dedication to go wherever you feel led without any hesitation or any thought as to what the offering will be. God is honoring your obedience.

Report from the District Superintendent of Rwanda--We are thankful to the Lord for this team of five: Alex, Sandra Lucas, Kara Nichols, Cesilia Lopez, and Evangelist John David Hicks. No other mission team has impacted Rwanda emotionally, physically, and spiritually as this team.

The team built a play therapy room for the orphan children. Sandra did a workshop for all the orphan workers. The team left behind not only their watches and personal clothing, but also their very selves. The whole congregation was happy because of what God did through their ministry.

Evangelist John David Hicks did a pastors conference for 43 pastors. He talked about the importance of growth in the ministry and faith, the basic things a minister must know to minister effectively. This was mapped out by Scripture and experience. John also taught on how to pray for the sick and challenged the pastors to expect answers to prayer. He emphasized that pastors are to be humble and meek in the service of almighty God. John’s teachings touched the whole person.

Having given the spiritual food to pastors, John also fed them physically with a balanced diet, and pastors were joyful for such nice meals.

This was not the end of the matter. John also clothed them, and on top of this he gave a special gift of a Bible to each pastor with a bag to carry it. Many of them did not have Bibles; some of them had only a New Testament Bible.

In Rwanda, we have lots of sickness – HIV/AIDS, stomach problems, pain of various kinds throughout the human body; people work hard and eat an unbalanced diet. Rev. Hicks had a healing service where pastors were trained and people were prayed for. The Lord healed many completely. Glory to God.

We are still receiving testimonies from many people. Here are two: “I am Bahati Julienne. I thank God to have healed my back that I suffered from for many years. This happened when Rev. Hicks prayed for me during the church service. I’m able to do my work effectively. Let the Lord’s name be exalted.”

“I am Benimana Adele. I was extremely suffering from various sicknesses such as stomach, backbones, and many others. I was prayed for and after prayers, I received immediate healing. All diseases got out of my body. I am well and I am bringing thanksgiving offerings in the house of the Lord. May the name of the Lord be praised.”
May the Lord abundantly bless Evangelist John David Hicks. May the Lord award him with a long life to complete the work of the Lord he commenced in Africa.

We are praying for him and trusting God to make it possible for him to come back to Rwanda and also in other African countries next year. What the Lord enabled him to do in Rwanda indicates that his ministry is much needed in other parts of Africa that are experiencing difficulties of various kinds. --Simon Pierre Rwaramba, District Superintendent Rwanda North West District.

Waldron, AR – John David Hicks brought great biblical messages that touched the hearts and minds of our people. Many found spiritual help, with the altars filled each night. Many received physical healing as well.

On the last night of the revival, I asked for a show of hands of how many felt that they had received a spiritual touch and were ending the revival closer to God than they began. At least 95 percent raised their hands. Then I asked how many had received a physical healing touch during the revival and perhaps 75 percent held up their hands. God is good! --Lynn R. Nacogdoches, TX – We want to send out a thank you for the ministry of Bro. John David Hicks to our church. We had an incredible revival with several saved and others healed and sanctified. Bro. La Moure, ND – We have invited Rev. Hicks to speak at our fall revival services for the past five years. God uses John in a powerful way, especially in learning about scriptural healing.

The Church today seems to have little understanding about healing, and John presents insights into Scripture. The people of God need to learn, know, and understand what Scripture teaches us about healing. I would encourage any pastor to take the opportunity to invite John to come and speak to their congregation.

John has become a friend and mentor through the years, so the fellowship and friendship we share in Christ is an added blessing!

Oak Harbor, WA – This is the third time we have enjoyed Rev. Hicks’ ministry among us. By Wednesday night, more than 200 people sought and found help from a grace-filled and loving God. Sin was confessed, bondages were broken, relationships mended, and healings of all kinds were evident.

Rev. Hicks spoke effectively to all ages with clear invitations to seek grace, restoration, and healing. Our church family is encouraged by the Spirit’s activity. Fulton, MO – We recently completed a revival with John Hicks. This was the most timely and rewarding set of services in my ministry.

Kirkland, WA – It had been several years since Kirkland Church of the Nazarene had revival services. Some were skeptical. Why are we using an old-fashioned event to reach today’s people? Some were afraid. Stereotypes brought up images of manipulation and emotional excess. However, many were spiritually thirsty for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon their dry, weary souls. Preparations for the meetings were surprisingly well supported. Prayer sign-ups were filled by people of all ages. Fasting commitments were made by a strong core of the leadership. By the time the services began, people were anticipating a very special event.

No one was disappointed. God used John to speak a word from God for us. Over the four days, 14 people came to faith in Jesus Christ or recommitted their life to him, and more than 90 people received physical healing. This has been a beautiful time of spiritual reawakening. Our faith in the Living Lord has skyrocketed. Praise the Lord for His loving kindness to us. We are so thankful for the anointed ministry Jesus gave to us through John David Hicks.

Prineville, OR – God’s timing for and during our recent revival services with John David Hicks was greatly reflected in the attendance, spirit, and the decisions made. These all came together to bring glory to God.
The average attendance during our four evening services was triple that of our regular Sunday evening service. The people were anxious to hear what God had to say through His messenger.

Many made public decisions for the Lord. Some were first-time seekers; others were walking in new light of the Gospel message. A number were seeking the fullness of God's Spirit to cleanse and purify their hearts.
At the conclusion of each service, people remained for prayer and healing. Many were touched and healed as Rev. Hicks and church elders gathered to pray for them. I do believe God has done a great work in his people through the revival services. We’re looking to great days ahead in kingdom building.

Valley of the Rogue / Murphy, OR – When we called Reverend Hicks to come be a part of our revival services, we knew it was going to be a unique situation as he would be sharing his ministry between two churches. The services and times of teaching were wonderful. God came and healed and delivered as His presence was experienced at all the meetings. The most indelible impression I am left with is a three-hour meeting on Monday night where God’s Spirit came and directed the remainder of the revival. Caney, KS – John, my people have not been this affected by any revival. For the first time I and others in the church have been believing God to actually heal people instead of having this “pray but God probably won’t do anything anyway” attitude. I have followed up on the couple who received Christ and I believe they are sincere. They have been back to church and talk like they are here for the long haul. Republic, WA – We prayed in the early morning hours for weeks and shared in an all-night vigil, and God spoke power-fully through the messages of John David Hicks. His was the voice and message of a God-called evangelist. Although we’ve had good meetings in the past, we needed a man willing to exhort, preach, and boldly proclaim what God had put on his heart. The messages were biblical, positive, and yet bold enough to cover the reality of heaven and hell. Particularly valuable was John’s simple and digestible presentation of holiness theology. Many hands went up to accept Christ every time there was an invitation. More hands went up to commit to letting the Lord rule their lives completely. People have shared that this was the most significant week of revival they’ve seen in the church. Praise the Lord!

Pomeroy, WA – John, I sure did appreciate your time with us and enjoyed the adventure of watching God do some wonderful thing with our people. I have always enjoyed each and every revival that we have had together, but this one last week was the best. The Lord used you in a mighty way. Several people claimed immediate healing from pain. Revival is stirring in our hearts and in the community. We had good attendance each evening, with almost as many on Wednesday night as on Sunday morning! Oak Harbor, WA – After a great time of preparation in prayer, our church experienced an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God used John David Hicks to bring a healing touch to scores of people. There were healings from pain, diseases, allergies, and degenerative conditions.

Our Sunday morning service the following week continued the praise and thanksgiving for such a caring God. Many testified to God’s continued presence as a result of this revival. Forks, WA – Good news and testimonies from our revival with John David Hicks: Deelite Whidden reports, “My eyes were so sensitive to light I had to wear dark glasses even in the house if I was by a window. I had to put drops in my eyes at night as well as day. When I was anointed and prayed for, my eyes changed. I can even drive on a sunny day without dark glasses. I haven’t needed to put drops in my eyes since prayer. I had my eyes checked by an ophthalmologist, and they are in good shape. Thank You, God, for healing.”

Karen reports that she has not had heart palpitations since she was prayed for. Rachel’s legs still hurt, but she hasn’t had any anxiety since she was prayed for. Charli has no more debilitating back pain since she was prayed for...walking without a cane for the first time in months. Heidi feels like her insides were healed. Anita heard from a lost grandson. A lady was healed from the “dirty feeling” from being abused as a child. Salene was finally able to release family members and find peace.

Pastors, our small church (Forks Church of the Nazarene) is hours from the city. We believed God wanted us to step out in faith and have a revival. John David Hicks had an opening in his schedule (that was miracle #1). Would he drive for six hours to come and be with us for a week? With the heart of an evangelist, he came to share the message (miracle #2). Before he got here, people gave to pay his way. John used many of the same scriptures that I have been preaching from in the last three months. And the final miracle was how John ministered to me while he was here.

Can John reach the masses through the Holy Spirit? Ask Dale, a third-grader who cried when John finished his last service because Dale didn’t want John to leave. I believe all churches need revival. All churches need an evangelist to be part of their family. Having an evangelist means being able to let go of our churches for a few services and trusting God to minister. Revival is the hardest work I have done, and worth every prayer prayed, meal fasted, and attack of the enemy.

Maple Valley, WA – What a privilege to have John David Hicks at our Fall Revival. God honored his sensitiv-ity to the Holy Spirit, as his messages addressed specific needs for salvation or recommitment. Our church made specific spiritual and financial preparation for this series of meetings, fasting once a week, collecting re-vival support offerings weekly for 10 weeks prior to the first service, and forming prayer support groups. The result was consistent attendance, eager anticipation, and faithful support of John’s ministry. La Moure, ND – We had a wonderful series of meetings with John David Hicks, who connected well with my people and wasn’t afraid to preach the truth of the Word! His messages, saturated in Scripture, led people to a point of decision. The prayer times for healing were precious, and we saw the Lord heal physical as well as spiritual needs. We had prayed for three months prior to the September revival meetings. Homedale, ID - The Spirit of the Lord was truly present during our revival services with John David Hicks. Many people testified to being helped by God. They included those who experienced salvation, sanctification, and a variety of types of healing. Our sanctuary was filled every night. Our Tuesday evening service, with people coming forward for healing as late as 10:30, will stand as a highlight in our church for years.

The revival/seminar format lends itself to discipleship instruction as well. I have heard numerous comments such as "I never knew that before," "My view of God is much larger," and "Rev. Hicks helped me see the 'big picture' in a clearer light."

Poulsbo, WA - Thanks be to God for the wonderful, refreshing time with John David Hicks! We are still floating in air from what the Lord did for us. Souls were saved, sanctified, reclaimed, and greatly encouraged. Our attendance was fabulous and the Spirit simply moved in a powerful way. I am now totally committed that revivals need to be scheduled in the church, and we plan on having Rev. Hicks back.
